    About BNI

What you need to know about BNI:
  • Only one person from each professional specialty is permitted to join a chapter of BNI.
  • All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business.
  • Attendance is critical. If you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute.
  • Members can participate by bringing bona-fide referrals and/or visitors to their BNI chapter.
  • All chapter members are screened and we check their referrals. Members are expected to adhere to the BNI Code of Ethics:
  • BNI’s Networking Code of Ethics:

    1. I will provide the quality of services at the prices that I have quoted.
    2. I will be truthful with the members and their referrals.
    3. I will build goodwill and trust among members and their referrals.
    4. I will take responsibility for following up on the leads I receive.
    5. I will live up to the ethical standards of my professionals.
    6. I will display a positive & supportive attitude with members of my chapter.

    Application Process:

    1. A prospective member may attend two meetings as a visitor. Prospective members receive a membership application and must complete this application and submit it with a check to the Membership Committee for review.
    2. The Membership Committee completes the screening process and notifies the prospective member of acceptance or non-acceptance before the next meeting.
    3. The Membership Committee notifies the President.
    4. The President announces new members at the chapter meeting following acceptance by the Membership Committee, whereby the new member is inducted.

    Cost:
There are one year and two year participation options. See the Secretary/Treasurer of the chapter you visit for prices. If you apply to participate in BNI, your application will be reviewed by the chapter's membership committee, and you will be notified of the status before the next meeting. The cost for the weekly breakfast is $12, payable in advance on the first of the month. Breakfast includes a buffet of eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, coffee, orange juice, biscuits, and potatoes.
